Nita Angeletti came to New York upon her acceptance
at
The Juilliard School, and received a B.F.A. under the
direction of
the late John Houseman.
Her performance career includes dance as well as
acting, and having
performed for many years, her work
reflects a strong theatricality. These intense theatrical
roots have provided a natural evolution into the
world of design decoration.
Her masks, dolls, figures and design work extend into
many mediums of expression, each contingent upon
the other as she continues to evolve and refine her work.
All of her work exhibits a sophisticated orchestration
of color, movement and style, and a passion for textiles.
Her arrangement and layering of unusual combinations
of
fabric and paint
distinguish her work from that of
her contemporaries.
